Booking a site
1 of the campgrounds take reservations, usually on Recreation.gov. 3 keep some first-come, first-served sites: arrive early, especially on summer weekends.
What the park says about reservations at South Rim Campground: “All sites in all loops must be reserved through Recreation.gov. Only loop B is open in winter. NOTE: Due to wildfire damage, limited sites (non-electric only) are currently available.”
