Trip plans stay on your device
Your park checklist, saved trips and finder answers live in your browser. If you share a trip or finder result, the link itself carries your choices, so anyone with the link can see them. Nothing is stored on our server.
Location
"Parks near me" asks your browser for your position and compares it with park locations on your own device. We do not receive or keep it.
The live forecast box
Park pages load the forecast straight from the National Weather Service (api.weather.gov). Your browser contacts that government service directly, which sees the request like any website would. Park alerts come to us from the National Park Service and no visitor details are sent to it.
Logs and counts
Our host keeps routine access logs for security. We keep anonymous totals of page and tool use.
Cookies
No tracking cookies are set by us. If we add hotel, tour or gear links that pay a commission, or ads, those companies' cookies will be described here.
Email and your rights
We use messages to hello@thegreenadventures.com only to reply, and we never sell personal information. To have anything deleted, write to the same address.
Children
The site is for trip planners and is not directed at children under 13.
